Total investment of 2 billion yuan to build Hebei Hydrogen Valley! China Shipbuilding Heavy Industry Corporation and Emerging Energy Hydrogen Equipment Industrial Park Project Start Construction

On May 28th, the Handan Hydrogen Energy Industrial Park project started construction. On the same day, the China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation's hydrogen energy equipment manufacturing project and the industrialization project of emerging energy hydrogen storage equipment were officially signed, becoming the first batch of construction projects to start in the hydrogen energy industry park.
It is reported that the Handan Hydrogen Energy Industrial Park project, located in the Handan Economic and Technological Development Zone, is constructed by Hong Kong Trade World Development Co., Ltd. and Handan Venture Capital Group Co., Ltd. with a total investment of 2 billion yuan and covers an area of 180 acres. It is divided into two functional areas: the hydrogen energy comprehensive functional area and the hydrogen energy industrial park. The first phase of the project will focus on the 718th Research Institute of China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation and the Emerging Energy Equipment Company of Xinxing Jihua Group, and will focus on building a hydrogen energy industry cluster park integrating hydrogen production, hydrogen storage, hydrogen transportation, hydrogenation, hydrogen fuel cell core materials, powertrain systems and other products, to create a hydrogen energy equipment manufacturing base.
The hydrogen energy industry is a strategic emerging industry leading the energy revolution and industrial transformation. Handan has abundant hydrogen resources and a complete innovation platform. It has multiple provincial-level innovation platforms, including the Hebei Hydrogen Energy Technology Engineering Innovation Center of the 718th Research Institute of China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation, the Hebei Engineering Laboratory of High Purity Special Gas of Handan Iron and Steel, and the Hebei Engineering Research Center for Hydrogen Energy Storage and Transportation Equipment of Emerging Energy Equipment. The hydrogen separation technology of Hebei Iron and Steel Handan Iron and Steel is mature, and the alkaline electrolysis water hydrogen production equipment of the 718th Research Institute of China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation, proton exchange membrane pure water electrolysis water hydrogen production technology, hydrogenation and vehicle mounted hydrogen system equipment are available domestically. The storage and transportation equipment of the emerging energy equipment company under the emerging Jihua Group is also available domestically.
The commencement of the hydrogen energy industry park project has opened the curtain for the construction of the 'China Hydrogen Valley' in Handan. Ding Wei, member of the Standing Committee of the Handan Municipal Party Committee, Minister of Propaganda, Secretary of the Party Working Committee of the Economic Development Zone, and Director of the Management Committee, stated at the groundbreaking ceremony that accelerating the development of the hydrogen energy industry is of great significance for the transformation and upgrading of Handan's industrial structure, improving the effectiveness of air pollution control, and promoting high-quality development. The Economic Development Zone will build high standards and promote high efficiency to ensure early completion, early production, and early results of the project, and create a demonstration benchmark for the development of the hydrogen energy industry.
